John Alan

Author, Systems Thinker, Nervous System Strategist

John Alan is the author of a set of neuroscience-consistent, timing-based systems designed to restore agency before habitual identity and emotional conditioning take over.

My Story

John Alan is the author of The Science of Feeling and the originator of Sovrenics, CELF, and Screen Gate™ (patent pending)—a set of neuroscience-consistent, timing-based systems designed to restore agency before habitual identity and emotional conditioning take over.

His work integrates Ante Narrative Regulation (ANR) as a core component of Sovrenics, identifying the Default Mode Network (DMN) as a primary catalyst behind much of what people experience as anxiety, self-sabotage, emotional overwhelm, and loss of control. Rather than framing these patterns as personal shortcomings, his work explains them as automatic network activity that engages before most people realize choice has closed.

John’s central contribution is not a therapeutic method but a sequence correction: recognizing that once the DMN is active, narrative, identity, and prediction dominate behavior—making most effort regulatory rather than causal. His work focuses on entering before the DMN engages, where freedom operates as a functional capacity rather than a belief.

After being given a second chance at life, John spent several years in intensive, cross-disciplinary study—drawing from neuroscience, systems theory, behavioral research, and lived experimentation—to answer a single question: When does choice actually occur? He briefly pursued graduate clinical training, achieved top academic performance, and withdrew after confirming that institutional models were not structured to address upstream, timing-dependent phenomena.

He is not a clinician, coach, or mental health provider, and does not position himself as one. He operates as an author, systems originator, and educator, advancing a framework that clarifies why people feel the way they do and when leverage exists—so downstream disciplines can operate with greater precision and less unnecessary effort.

John is currently authoring upcoming works on CELF and Sovrenics, and advancing patent-pending applications for Screen Gate™, a novel plasticity-engagement system designed for the speed of modern life.

My Values & Beliefs

Self-Governance

John believes agency is not a mindset but a physiological capacity. If the nervous system is not regulated, freedom narrows and reaction takes over. His work is rooted in restoring internal governance so individuals can choose their responses rather than be driven by survival patterns.

Precision Over Performance

He values clarity and sequence over inspiration and intensity. Change is not created through hype, force, or emotional catharsis. It is created through accurate timing, correct intervention, and disciplined awareness of state.

Responsibility Without Collapse

John believes strength should not require emotional suppression or burnout. True resilience is the ability to remain steady under pressure without losing connection to oneself. Boundaries, leadership, and integrity must hold even when challenged.

My Approach

Sovrenics exists for one reason:to restore internal authorship.

Most people are not broken. They are dysregulated.

Sovrenics teaches nervous system literacy and identity stabilization so people can operate from clarity instead of survival.

This work is practical, biological, and grounded in lived experience — not theory.
